Amazing :D

Maybe I should have kept it in the plastic and waited for the value to rise... nah, I'm a firm believer that toys are meant to be played with. :)

What is the difference between this and the standard Aragorn the King Mounted?

The figure is the same, just the magazine is the special RotK edition. Though it consists mostly of an extended battle report of the defense of Minas Tirith, and a painting guide for the mini. Does using it in this contest count as doping? :)

Assembled. Parts go nicely together, but that gap on his side must go.

Thanks for the clarification...... As for using the painting guide, I've used the one in the Best of White Dwarf Two Towers for my Helms Deep Aragorn so I hope it doesn't count as cheating!

I've taken another picture of my completed Aragorn since the last picture was terrible.

Nice details. The tree, the gold trims, the green stone. And his expression says he's gonna chop you to tiny bits right now, no nonsense.

Nah Ritcherd, don't be too modest. You're giving the competition a run for their money.

Great entry Ritcherd 8) I really like the work on the red cape and black coat (I avoid black because I can't paint it for squids) - and the face looks great too.

Looks like I'll be entering too! Found out I have a spare Aragorn I didn't know about. :P

Here's proof it hasn't been painted yet. I glued on the arm this morning.

I hope I find the time/courage to start painting again. ;)

I've done the base now. I'll get pictures of the base up tomorrow along with my proof picture. Unfortunately I can't put the mini completely together yet as I have no superglue left at all!

Wow, many participants. I have a couple of unpainted Aragorns, I just may not have the time. Who knows I might join in by the end of the month and enter a rushed job, doubt that would win.

I now remember I hate painting human skin, it just never works out the way I'd want it to. :p Well, on to the rest of the model!

Good luck to all painters!

That and eyes are what the majority of people struggle with if they struggle with anything.
