the white paint (gw skull white) seems too runny, is there anything that i can do to get the paint to thicken so i can paint the white hands

Use the paint from the lid rather than the pot, its thicker.

Another tip...to keep from drying out your whole pot, just put a little on your palette and let it sit for a few minutes to thicken before applying. Also, Skull White does not cover very well, so a basecoat of Astronomicon Grey or Deneb Stone does wonders.

Also, consider that this is probably just a slap-bang job done by some orcs, so it's okay if it's messy, and doesn't have total coverage. I doubt the orcs would take the time to do a coat or two of primer and then a coat or two of paint to make sure it's got total coverage.

Just slap the paint on for the white hands but one tip is that although they should look orcish, make sure that it is intended to look that way and not just sloppy. But give the pot a good ole shake first and it will be fine !

I don't have much of an Isengard collection, but I made a rubber stamp from a mini's hand & use that to transfer white ink to my Uruks. I've been very happy with the results.
