What is 'Little Delving'?

It's actually 'Michel Delving', and it was a major town in the shire, home to the mayor and also the museum. Sharkey/saruman turned it into a prison for hobbits that stood their ground against the ruffians.

Little Delving is actually a different place and considerably more obscure.

As far as I know it's just a little town that's north of Michel Delving. :roll:

Correctomundo. I thought it would be more obscure due to never actually being written about in any of the books other than being present on a map of the shire leading off a road with the words 'To Little Delving'.

Who is Eärendur of Andúnië?

Earendur was the fifteenth lord of andúnië.
Andúnië (sunset) was a harbour in the north east of numenor.
His sister was grandmother to king tar-palantir

The lords of andúnië where also know as those whom stayd loyal to the valar, despite persecution by the numenorean kings.
