Your komt looks very nice. 8)
maybe you want to add a bit more detail to the horse's hair but that's about it.

looking forward to faramir and lurtz.

Thanks everyone, the kind comments are appreciated.

I will begin the painting of Lurtz or Faramir tomorrow. Not decided which will be started first yet.

I haven't managed to get enough work done today to warrant an update, but I thought I'd show those of you that haven't seen them the other 2 minis that have been completed for my Gondor army that I finished and posted in my old thread a while ago.

For some reason Faramirs' sword seems very shiny, whereas it's actually a bit darker than shown. Also the quivers are quite messy, with gold paint where it shouldn't be etc. so I'll probably go over these again at some point. I'm also thinking of adding an additional highlight or two to the faces when I get time. But here's how they have looked for the past 7 months.

Thanks everyone, I will post up when some significant progress has been made with Lurtz. Once he's finished, back to Gondor. I'm hoping to get some done on him today.

Not a Lurtz update just yet, but here's a couple of WIP pictures of an alternate colour scheme for my Warriors of Minas Tirith on a Captain that I started a while back now. Basically just testing how a red cloth colour would look on them. It's not finished yet but I'm not sure of how it looks. Would you say it works? I'll be changing the basing as well as I no longer do my bases in this way.

Starting the painting of Lurtz as we speak, so an update should come after my painting session tonight (or tomorrow if the light is no good).

It looks good I think. I've just painted that exact model with a red tunic too, but I painted the face of the Shield red also.

Hmm that could look good, a red shield. I hope you don't mind me stealing your idea at some point and painting a test shield :P Not yet though, Lurtz comes top priority as I need to get him done before the challenge finishes and I miss out on another month!

Finally started getting some work done on Lurtz.

The skin is all finished as are the eyes, the white hand across his face (which I only just plucked up the courage to attempt as I didn't want to ruin the face, thankfully I did attempt it and I don't think it turned out too bad) and his teeth.

The lighting in this photo is very poor so I will try to make future updates of Lurtz better, but the darkness of the mini doesn't help either.

Thank you. The metallics are almost done now, one wash and a highlight left methinks. The basing is done then it's just the leather and cloth to finish. I've made more progress since that last picture but I'm going out any minute now, so will take new pictures when I get back.
