I'd add "Men in Tights" (Mel Brooks' Robin Hood parody...) to the list, gotta love this one :)

Guys, if you want samurais, movies dont get much better than Akira Korusawa'sThe seven samurai. Yes, its old and balck and white, but its still one of the greatest movies ever made, in my opinion, and one of the most influencial too.

Since the Arn movies made it to the list, I suggest the Finnish Robin Hood spoof Noin seitsemän veljestä (Nearly Seven Brothers), http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0134854/.

Here's an excerpt, no translation but I'm sure you get the idea:

Spartacus. The one and only - starring Kirk Douglas. In fact, I'm watching it now.

Also, Wikipedia has a list of Antiquity and Medieval themed films.

One of my favourites is The Last Legion with Colin Firth.

Also, it might not count because it's primarily a Sci-Fi, but 'Outlander' is set in the Medieval World and they mix the Fantasy with Sci-Fi very well. Possibly one of my favourite films of recent years.

I've got that. I read the book first (I even wrote an essay on it in my English class back in Year 8, 2nd year of secondary school), but was very disappointed with the film.

And Shrek - well if does parody a lot of sword and damsel in distress tales and movies.

"LetMeWatchThis.com does not host, provide, archive, store, or distribute media of any kind, and acts merely as an index (or directory) of media posted by other webmasters on the internet, which is completely outside of our control." So the site itself seems to be legal but I'm sure some of the video's aren't. It's your decision anyway, I just poped it up for whomever wanted it. You can check further under legal terms.

Just watched Game of Thrones and Black Death. Why is it that every time Sean Bean plays a good character he always seems to die in a gruesome way? He gets his head chopped off, gets torn limb from limb, and is made into a pin cushion by Lurtz in the Lord of the Rings.

A spoiler warning would have been nice. Have not gotten all caught up with GoT. :-X

Hahaha, that was mean! I almost slipped a few times too about Sean Bean, but somehow I managed to keep it to myself lol :D Not a lot of people caught up with the Thrones, yet. :D

But yeah, Akira Kurosawa all the way. Also Eragon from the ones listed and yes, I am a sucker for Underworld. All of them.

I edited it to prevent spoilers, you should change your quote.
