Sounds like a good way to get cheap wargs (and horses) then, but what're you going to do about the riders? the same?

yes, i already know how im going to do to create horses *_* i have some ideas in mind :) it will work i think

about the riders offcourse..i will choose some figures and then i create them too, and then i can change them again to adapt them to the horses

the riders are realy small, i can create like 4 molds and do 4 riders every 2 days and they are smaller (a lot) then wargs or horses, so with a bag of the material i use i can create like...30figures? xD

lets see how this goes :)

well it was kind obvious that it is plastic as metal wargs are always molded onto the riders 8)

the molds are done :) so lets get to work

Image

First, I brush the mold with Vaseline, 2 times to make sure it is well brushed with vaseline, no need to exaggerate, do not want to cover too much detail with Vaseline

Image Image

now we fill the molds ( i use the same material that i used to create the molds, must be someting soft to work with, but it needs to get realy hard after, at least if u want a resistant warg) and as you can see i held a little wire on the mold

Image Image

I used the brush to do a bit of pressure, to ensure it is well filled, and the details of the warg are well marked

that wire I held in the middle of the mold, i will use it to pull off the warg. it is better, with the wire stick to the warg i dont need to break the mold to get the warg piece out..

and here it is my work done for now... I think tomorrow is going to be tough enough to take the pieces of the warg out of the mold :)

WOW the vaseline worked much better then was suppose to....it didnt stick at all and i was able to take them off already :D

here it is!

Image Image

came out better than I thought, but unfortunately now I have to wait a day, I can not work and improve them until they get harder
and fortunately the mold was not damaged so I can use it again whenever i want

Nice work on the conversion. Cool pose and it will make a nice alternative banner bearer amongst the other poses already available.

That completed Orc banner bear looks awesome, it is as impressive as the banner bearers in the wotr command sets. The Harad one is also beginning to look awesome. Great job 8) (However you should have saved the Orc until this months painting challenge, because it would've been a spectaculr entry.
