I've noticed a lot of abbreviations on the site, particularly on posts dealing with army lists and rules. I think it might be helpful for members to view these abbreviations/jargon/shorthands beforehand so that we all understand exactly what is being said. Please feel free to add any other abbreviation you find during your sessions on One Ring.

List of Abbreviations:
OR: One Ring (typically refering to the website)
IMO: In My Opinion
IME: In My Experience
RAW: Rules As Written
RAI: Rules As Intended
WOT/WoT: Wings of Terror
WotR/WOTR: War of the Ring
SBG: Strategy Battle Game
FotR: Fellowship of the Ring
TTT: The Two Towers
RotK: Return of the King
AtD: At the Double
WoR: Warriors of Rohan
WoMT: Warriors of Minas Tirith
SKoDA/KoDA: Swan Knights of Dol Amroth
ES: Epic Strike
DM: Dark Marshal
DB: Durin's Bane, Balrog of Moria
RoR: Riders of Rohan
RRG: Rohan Royal Guard
KoMT: Knights of Minas Tirith
OP: Original Post
WK: Witch King of Angmar

Look at the sticky right above this thread.....http://one-ring.co.uk/viewtopic.php?f=46&t=19024
Though I'm not sure the original poster is active anymore, so a mod would have to edit in new abbreviations. :)

Don't forget the mantra of WotR Evil armies...

KFTW - Khamul For The Win (*NOTE: Alternate definitions for FTW exist but are not covered on a family oriented forum)

Yep already a thread stickied for this as pointed out. I'll lock this and if there is anything you wish to suggest to add to the other thread feel free to do so there and I'll add them to the list as Farmer Giles hasn't been on in a few months. I'll also edit the title of that thread to 'Abbreviations' to make it clear that is what it contains.
