Hey everyone,

I recently picked up painting again, and thought it might be a fun idea to doe a WIP myself as I love looking at other people's WIP threads myself.

So here are the mini's I painted this week. I don't knw why but my camera just isn't what it used to be in terms of quality and coloring, so for now the pics are quite bad.
They make the colors seem very flat, and lighter too. (Or maybe that's my excuse.

)

Next one? Probably Boromir of the White Tower, but could be nearly every hero or metal figure. :-D

You should use more wash and highlights.

@Bastion: Yeah but as I said, my camra makes the colours look very flat. :/

This image has a little better lighting, and it also shows alot more of the washing and highlighting.

This one is another failed attempt at a good photo, but it's because of the rainy weather. -.- Just to show you I finished the base.

So probably no more projects until I finish all my exams, which is January 25th. Just a heads-up: I will probably attempt a Amon-Hen Diorama (which would be my first diorama ever) So if anyone is still interested in the Amon-Hen boxset (see my trading list) you're gonna have to be quick.

I finally managed to finish some numenoreans today and I must say, they are about the most depressing figures I've ever painted. Worked on these for hours and they still look like [insert random bad language] even by my standards. Oh well this will look ok on the tabletop I guess.

Sorry, again the pic is a little blurry and over-lighted. (is that even a word?)

I am also working on some kind of little Rohan outpost thingy. :p

The Numenoreans look great! I know what you mean tho, every time I paint them they destroy my will to live too.

And that fort looks really cool, what made you decide to go for the one slanted wall?

Well if it was square it'd look a bit generic and dull. I'm also thinking about making it multifunctional so that it can easily be used as an orc outpost too, and a square orc fortification wouldn't do well in my mind.:p

Polystyrene covered with sand.

Both look really good, don't moan about the Numenoreans, they are better then anything I'll paint the coming 20-30 years.
