Far over, the Misty Mountains cold
To dungeons deep and caverns old...

I just can't stop singing this song...

Oh man, a whole year to wait for this. :o

Thrilled but also very nervous about one thing...an axe in Bifur's head???? WTF? It's already a "children's story". I know they are bumping it up to adult levels (thank Eru) but we already have the ready-made comic relief of Bombur. Do we really need a stupid ploy like an axe stuck in someone's head? That's old-school BBC humor (nothing wrong with that...I grew up on 70s / 80s BBC shows...but NOT HERE!)

Agree, it looks amazing, 12 months is an awfully long time to wait though. At least GW have something to work on to get some more figures out!

That's an axe? I thought that was just a string of beads or something!

http://lotr.wikia.com/wiki/Bifur That has a better picture of it. It is indeed an axe stuck in his head.

I am fit to burst with anticipation. The solemn and haunting rendition of 'Far over the Misty Mountains' is so damn good I could weep with impatience at having to wait for probably 11 months or more before even the basic soundtrack becomes available. The clips in the trailer show some spectacular scenery and Elven cavalry!
I have watched it about a dozen times already .... tortured bliss, folks, tortured and tantalised bliss.

I just noticed the axe. Maybe it was a war wound that if he pulled it out he would die. btw the trailer was awesome... the ending with gollum gave me goosebumps!

Haha That axe will annoy me to no end. ("Just pull it out!!") :p I still think alot of dwarves don't look like dwarves at all, but It'll grow on me, it's PJ after all.;)

BTW, wasn't a giant beard supposed to be something of great value to dwarves?:p

Dammit! Now I see the axe! Still not as bad as Thorin's (lack of a) beard. He should have the freaking longest beard out of all of them! I showed my dad this trailer, and he was asking about who the men were in the trailer, and I said that there are no men until the second movie, and that those were all dwarves. He didn't realize that Thorin was a dwarf, because he didn't have a freaking beard! I'm starting to like the looks of the other dwarves though. Thorin and Bifur are currently the only ones that I dislike.

Thanks!

Maermaethor.

That. Axe. Is. Ridiculous. And. So. Is. Thorin. The. Beardless.

PJ=Brilliant, but some awful design mistakes.
