I am happy we are getting new pieces and SBG rulebooks...that is awesome!
Of the new models that are pictured so far, I like the goblins on the warg the best. :)

Alright, I'm just wondering why that's the only one missing.

The point people are trying to make is the book for the Kingdoms of Men isn't on the pricing lists that others are posting.

If I'm reading that right they're repackaging plastics to 12 minis a box..? If so, buy any troop boxes you want like, now. This'll be that old "halving the numbers but not the price" chestnut they pulled with imperial guard in 40k.

Really excited to see a new plastic kit, those easterlings all look amazing.

They've already done that. Just go to the GW website.

Ya, it wouldn't be so bad if they hadn't also jacked up the prices 35%.

Overall I'm happier that they're actually releasing stuff again than I am dismayed by the price hike. New easterling stuff is gorgeous.

Wow. I had no idea that the Watcher was secretly the Love/Hate-child of Ungoliant and Cthulhu.

A lot of the other models look pretty good but, as Jamros said, nothing here to incite me to spend the money.

Im SOOO excited!!! A fantastic release. I only have concern over 1 of them and that is easily fixed!

Watcher in the Water
-Awesome but looks a bit awkward although I want to see it from a better angle.
-I love the dead dwarves.

Great Gorgoth Beast
-I must say this is my favourite release. Theres something about it that really makes me want it!
-I especially love the orc poses on it.
-Will the orcs be removable and put on indivisual bases?

Horror of the Deep
-Since they used to be loads of balrogs in the first age, I imagine they were not all the size of the one in moria. So i can accept the idea of a mini balrog.
-Pose is a bit awkward but I want to see it from a better angle.
-Again, good base. Simple but better than plane and it can be improved upon if you wanted to.

Kataphraks
-That is brilliant, a well needed release!
-Not sure if a drummer is the best option but the good thing is that it is an option.
-I really like that casualties are included.

Dragon Knight
-Totally awesome.
-I love the extra metal bits on the horse's head so it looks like a dragon.

War Priest
-Again, pure awesomeness.

Amdur
-I love his pose!

Casualties
-All great.
-Although I wish they had an elf one.
-I love the YMCA reference!

Groblog
-I like the pose and base, it gives a sense of the goblin's great ability to climb.
-I dont like his crown though, but that could be cut off easily.
-I dont like his name either, I could have gone with goblin war chieftian.

Ashrak
-Great creepy model.
-I dont really like the idea of spider blood or his name as well, shaman would be better.

Warg Lootriders
-Great model.
-Not so sure if 3 goblins are good.
-What exactly is a lootrider?

wow didnt know people still had an issue with FC. You would not want a model like that in metal surely?

No but I wont pay their prices for substandard products and then have to spend a long time making good what they should and other companies including Forgeworld can get right in the first place.

Exactly, GW's Finecast models use an inferior quality of resin to Forgeworld's resin but is almost the same price.

I've read some ridiculous comments on non-LOTR wargaming forums about these releases.

Including this one:

Most disappointing news possible. what a waste.

Please, none of you buy any of these models because that will encourage them to make more. especially don't buy them and use them for 40k or fantasy, because that's just making them think we want more lotr models when they could have just put time and money into making the models that we wanted in the first place instead of using second rate substitution models.

Lol i can undertand what this person is saying, lets face it LOTR isnt all that popular, an he would rather the attention spent on 40k. I guess gw is trying to push the lotr suff before they release hobbit stuff, which is "qoute", due about september after 6th ed 40k, which is rumored for like may/june, they dont want to release all at once.

If the new SBG rules are interesting enough then it may encouarge me to start painting my gondor and or start a small fallen realms army as, plastic kata's are just way too tempting and the metals were far from easy to assemble, very much like the metal dol amroth knights Which i have just refused to assemble.

Does any one have any leaks on the new SBG rules, much appreciated.
