Hi!

This is my first attemp to post some of my creations in an other language than german. So please don't stoning me, if something is hard to read. My english is very rusty! :(

Don't wonder about my name, it's the german translation of black death!

My first attemp of sculpting something was inspired by an white dwarf article: The watcher in the water tentacle with frodo:

The next thing was an conversion for an painting contest of an german language LOTR-board: Halbarad mounted

Image

Image

Basic model was Aragorn mounted, the banner came from an MT standart bearer. Both minis had minor damages, so I combined them to Halbarad.

The second conversion also shows an mini for an painting contest: Mounted Elrond

For this miniature I used the Body of Glorfindel mounted and the torso of Elrond. The sword is one of the plastic high elves.

Hi!

Thanks for your comments. Here are some pictures of the final result:

I've also done some sculpting jobs with FIMO: Dwarf hornblower (long before GW released), Dwarf Shieldbearer & Iron Guard Commando. I will post pictures, if somebody is interested.

This is my actual conversation: Golbin Marauder

I normaly prefer Fimo for sculpting, but in this case I had to use Greenstuff because this are plastic minis. As you see every Mini has an defect or is painted. I have repositioned the head and the arm of one, linke the GW original.

Hope you like it!

Elrond looks amazing all painted up. Makes me wish I had the conversion skills needed to make my own.

Brilliant conversions!

PS: Landbüttel=Shirrifs, Auenland=Shire? My German is not up to LOTR terms yet...

Great work and very nice conversions and paintings. On a side note is anyone else looking forward to watching the Painting Contests alternate between "Black Death" and "DMS"?

Dear Thomas, I just read through your german pages( not so difficult since I'm Dutch! :) ) and I was astonished by your work! Especially the sculpting of the heads blew my mind! And the dwarfs you made from scratch are wunderbar!! I hope you will share some of the pictures here aswell so others can see how gifted you are!

I'd also bet that UKbearfreddy would certainly hire you because of your skills!

Wow, great work. I especially like the goblin marauder. (even though I hate the official GW one and wthe whole idea... :? )
The watcher is also impressive. I would enjoy seeing some of those other mini's you mentioned, if you could be bothered to post them?

Why do you hate the official GW one? :) I haven't read what story they made up for it, but these are actually very close to the books. Furthermore, I'm hoping they look sort of like that in the movies.:) ( I would assume they do, if not they have to make new ones by next year already?)

Also, why haven't I thought of using wargs and spare goblins to make my own marauder...? Thanks for the idea. xD

Okay, maybe hate is too strong a word. I dislike it. The whole 'one goblin can't control it, but three can' thing is soooo bad. Like really, they're actually controlling it? While they are using both hands to hold their weapons, and they can stay on with no saddle or harness of any kind? Really? I know that goblins riding wargs/wolves is mentioned in the book. I'm fine with a goblin riding a wolf. But make it one goblin, and give them a bit of a harness and a saddle. Utherwise they are just along for the ride, and hopefully they can stay on their mount, let alone keep the wolf/warg alive for a bit longer while it tears things up.

I think it's also the pose, which is naff, and the price, which is ridiculous even if you only want six, like a normal cav box. :-X

Great conversipons.

About the Warg Marauder, (unlike Amarthadan) I had considered making my own. What worries me is that, looking at your modle, you had to elong it to fit 3 Goblins on it, I was hoping to fit 3 on without ekongating the wrg, do you think that is possible?
