I believe Red said about an earlier choice, that the deadline would be extended.

But lol that it actually happened.

One Ring was hacked several years ago, and since then the admins (especially Dagorlad, I believe) have been rebuilding the site slowly. If I am correct, it was before my times.

Well I'd suggest allowing both command groups and royalty. First of all because there would be alot of entries, and secondly, because the sauron challenge has a very narrow array of possibilities, so it evens out, right? :p

hmmm... that could be a possibility. We could have two different painting challenges for next month; one for Command Groups and one for Royalty. But then again Red will probably stick to what he said earlier, that there would be a re-vote between the two that are tied.

I think it would be easier, if Red would be a judge here, and decide.

This is a turn out for the books :)

Perhaps allowing for both is the best way for pleasing the masses

The easiest way to solve this would be to switch the captain in a group for a member of royalty: so Durburz, drum and shaman. Or have a command group of all royalty/nobles: Denethor, Boromir with Banner; Strider, Halbarad with banner; Theoden, Gamling with banner.

And question: would dead Elendil and Isildur (from the Sauron set) count as Parent and Child/Royalty? Cause I would love to see one of them in this challenge or any future one with Parent and Child.

I would think that Elendil/Isildur would count for the Parent & Child category.

Sorry everyone, I've been unable to access the internet for a few days. I will set up a 48 hour vote later between the two tied categories if that is ok with everyone else. If they are both still tied after that, well, we'll jump that hurdle when it comes.
