Just started work on these chaps after a break away painting some WH Empire, always nice to come back to LOTR there is something special about them, the perfect scale and realistic detail.

Love the Easterlings, using Viejo metallic paints on the Gold, which are far better than the GW versions, even the new ones.

Have not done much on the fist 2 figures yet, just the red/gold base, adding acrylic thinners to the paint to slow the drying time down as its been really hot weather today!

Very nice Easterlings, brilliantly done, nice use of blue instead of black on the Priest, by the way is the Foot version metal or finecast? same question for the W-K and Khamul.

Hi, the foot version is a metal one, as is the WK and Khamul, a much prefer metal in small models but resin in large models, thanks for asking.

Still working away on them will publish some more pics of finished work soon.

Nice looking Easterlings and I like how the blue works on the priest, sets him apart.

I have been painting the Great Beast of Gorgoroth, used Tamiya RAF Grey as a basecoat airbrushed, then a light black oil wash abd sealed in with matt lacquer. Now have started the horn which i might repaint and the weathering of the animal.
I applied MIG Rust Effect to the chain which was painted GW Chain Mail

Started work on the new Goblins, really like them, not finished yet. Started by airbrushing Stamina white paint with a drop odds flesh, then a Washoe GW new flesh wash, then white dry brush.
I small amount of red wash on the eyes, and then random colours on the cloth, bags etc.
More work to-do yet

Looking great! I only got as far as taking a look at those expensive boxes in the store :-)
What's their scale near the old goblins? I saw someone post the old galadriels near the new one , and the new one was quite smaller.
