They are indeed extremely good! The metal is fantastic I wish I could do my brother's Uruk-hai like that! However I do think that you should stick to black hair. In my opinion the brightest thing on an uruk-hai should be the metal.

I would suggest something a little darker than codex grey with a badab black wash afterwards.

Very nice. I just think they are not... what's the word?... 'Dark' enough?
They are well painted, don't get me wrong. It just doesn't fell right when I look at them.
What colours do you use for the armour? Might I suggest a basecoat of Tin Bitz with Chainmail drybrush?
Again, these are my opinions. If you like them, by all means, just ignore this little rant. :-D

It is because of the light, this photos i took them on my balcony and they look like they have a grey armour, but it is black + metal i dont know why it looks so grey lol indeed they should be a little more dark but i kinda like them like that it looks like a real metal armour and i dont think i can do it better :x Looks like im not good painting evil mini's :( they never looks "evil" lol

There is nothing wrong with anything u said 8) in fact thanks for the tip, i will try to paint them a little darker.. I still have a lot of uruk kai to paint

Im trying some conversions with uruk hai pikemen :) sinse i need some uruk hai with crossbow and i got some extra cheap uruk hai pikemen i will do some conversions 8)

This is my first test to create a uruk hai with crossbow, i used a piece of plastic to mold the head of the crossbow, it was kinda easy :p

Here is the uruk hai pikemen

This is what i used, at least a piece of it, to create the head of the crossbow

And this is what i got so far, now i need to let the material i use that is similar to green stuff get harder, then i can shap it better :)

All your work is looking great Chris. Yes, please post a close up photo of Aragorn - your paint job on that looks first class. I like your painted Uruks too. I know how the camera can lighten up everything. I painted Sauron's armour with 50/50 black and boltgun metal and it still looks just metal in photos (but is much darker in reality). I tend to just stick with what looks best in real life. Maybe for the uruks you could try another black wash, but your should make that choice based on how they look in the hand. Keep up the great work!
