Well today I decided to paint something from Lotr again, no pics as yet they will come a little later but the subject for my first foray back into Lotr for some time is The Army of The Dead. Watch this space.

Cheers guys as promised here is the first image of many more to come, thus mini is going to be difficult as there is no set painting guide that I have fund that I want to refer to as yet so this is my own take on trying to emulate the GW version which I quite like. I am basically going to have to paint the whole mini in monochrome tones first with little bits of colour here and there such as the beard and metal parts and then add the greenish tints at the end, hopefully it will work out.

I had forgotten how small the minis from Lotr are but I think I can still cut it.

Very nic painting. And I do not think they are small.

When finished, I think it willl look as good as 'Eavy Metal's ones, it is postively excellent.

Nice base, what is it? Is it resin or did you make it?

Looking great so far Tim! Always nice to see you painting LOTR stuff.
Your minis are always so neat and clean!

Keep it up!

Thanks again guys, well it has been a few days but I have not been idle, the majority of the mini is done as you can see one I have done the remaining parts I will then have to tackle the green glow.

I'm not sure yet how to go about that so will run a few tests first before applying it to the model.

I know I have said this before, but I have to say it again: you paint miniatures so neatly that it makes me really envious. My rendition of AotD was done fairly quickly (Dorth flying a bit seat of the pants... or set of the paints, maybe... - dreadfully bad pun  ) and was an attempt at the really eerie lighting in the Paths of the Dead scenes. I must paint some more - they are pretty quick to paint and base compared to most of the minis.

Your painting seems to squeeze every ounce of detail out of the minis. Excellent work.
