Im not sure if I post this topic in the right section of the forum.

Today I went to my local GW store to buy some GotFC(guards of the fountain court). The manager didn't have any in stock so I asked if we could order from GW site but he couldn't. He also said that he could find me only another 3 boxes(from other stores) :o

In addition he told me that when something like this happens to a mini-pack then thats a sign that the mini-pack is stopped being produced. Also in the GW site there is a 24-h delay to the GotFC packs.

So my question is: Does anyone knows if these minis are stopped produced? And if yes will we have them again on plastic/resin or will we lose them for ever??

If they trully remove them i think that this will be a very bad idea. :( :(

in my gw there are no metal packs anymore, its all finecast and i think that is how they are going now for all metal till it is converted/ remade.
all models i looked at in the space of a minute just now ship in 24 hours if thats what you mean, even if they are 40k models.
i know this doesnt exactly answer your question but i dont think we'll be seeing the end of a model just after they had their rules put in a new sourcebook!
hope this helped.

I'm almost sure that they will get a finecast version soon, along with the hasharin.

There probobly will not be any changes to the models... unless you counnt bubbles everywhere, they just remove them breifly to recast them in resin.

Because it would make too much sense to cast them in finecast THEN remove the metal versions when they are all sold out of their surplus of them

Of course they make them before running out. They have to make sure they run out of the metals before they start selling the FC ones, otherwise they would just be wasting minis.

When they switch to Finecast I'm almost certain they will be in packs of 4. I'd like to see them come with an optional shield, it shouldn't be too hard to add one to the frame.

They might have to change the model a little to fit a shield onto them. Of course, it also might not, and if they don't have to change anything, I hope they include a few extra to stick on the ones you might already have.

A shield option wouldn't be hard. I converted a GoFC into a Numenorean general years ago. One of the things I did was give him a plastic Numenorean shield & it was as easy as can be.

I doubt if they will ever release Guards of the Fountain Court with shields, as they never had shields in the movies. Besides they still look great without shields.

The shields isn't about how they look, but the fact that with a shield they have D7 which is what makes them so popular.

Well, they would either need to make them right handed (thus shield in left hand) but have the spear switched around, or make them left handed (shield in right hand) and they would still probably have to change the way the spear is held.

I assume the disappearance was temporarily because I bought two metal blisters of gotft at games workshop online store.
and I got them some days ago, maybe that is because Im in the netherlands?

I hope they dont become FC. I really do not want wobbly spear syndrome on my GoFC. I like the metal minis and I'd much rather pay £8.20 for 3 metal than £16 for 4 finecast ones.
