sigh... another price increase. i see there has been some comments that gw might go out of business but i don't believe this. in my local gw ive seen people buy about £100 worth of stuff, a kid about 10 years old walk in and just randomly picked up a land raider crusader and his dad just bought it (and he just picked it up cus he liked it, i heard the conversation being on the board next door
). i myself buy stuff from gw as i just find it easier, don't have an ebay account (just never really got round to it) and i like building, painting etc. myself. i realise that it will be harder for people to afford models but surely people are just going to have to wait a little longer untill they have the money to buy the models, the idea that them going up by a few pounds and that people can't buy from gw anymore is absurd (and before you think that i don't have problems with money, i fund my hobby by doing a newspaper round and i just save up for weeks before i buy stuff, so my armies grow at a slow pace, but i can still afford it). i think boycotting gw probably is not the best thing either, i realise that there are other systems to play by but gw is the simplest rules, easiest to pick up and has the most succesfull systems. the hobby would not be what it is without them, so i feel we should still support them as they are dominant, but it is for a reason: they are the most succesfull and have the best formula.
this has turned into a bit of a ramble and you will probably disagree with me, but my views in the ring now.
