theyre just medieval style.
there made out of parts, so far I ve made this: one brick floor with a door, one plastered stone wal with a door, one straw roof
and one slate roof.
and no special gondor or rohan building style, yet.

Good work on your building. Do you have the plans for LOTR buildings from the journey books?

no, as I dont have any of the books yet.
so then it would be hard to build out of it.
the new fotos of the planking are online.
and just a question: can you see the fotos from flickr in this topic or only with the link, because I cant.

I am able to only see the images via the link at this point. In regards to the journey books, most of them provide information on nice building structures, but I believe they are out of print and unavailable at GW on-line. When you have time, check out Tomes of Wisdom section on this site because there are a lot of excellent idea and outstanding work.

How did you make these, and is it a quick method? Because if it is, I'll have something to do in the summer holiday.

hi all
thx for all the kind reactions.

I made them using aerated concrete, its called gas beton in my laguage.
I start with making slices of about 16x1,5x6or7 cm for the long side and the small sides are a little smaller.
then using a hacksaw I make the horizontal lines in the concrete. the vertical lines are just freehanded with a prime this gives a nice uneven texture to the bricks.
gluing these things is kinda tricky, hot glue, superglue, pva glue all wont work.
the thing if found working best is just hobby glue with aceton/or other dilutant.
and also make sure you clean the concrete before gluing, mostly blowing some bursts of air on the cut works ok.
always give the concrete a spray painted black undercoat so all the little bubbles get filled.

the roofs are made by taking two pieces of hardboard cut to the right size, glued onto some sticks to represent beams.
the slate on was just covered with pieces of cardboard and the straw one was covered in little pieces of sisal rope.

hope you will also get good results making villages,

martijn
