You can just jolt the stats down in a piece of paper if you think you might forget something. Plus pen and paper is much cheaper.

This.
But hey, you can play the game with normal dice, or you can splurge and get some fancy coloured dice you enjoy playing with. If you've got the extra $$'s, this looks like a cool little thing to get. At firist I thought this was a post about new profiles for orc trackers, that they were getting m/w/f (almost like outriders or dunedain... :) )

I saw that yesterday day when looking for Shagrat War Leader, sounds like something GW would come up with and charge £6/7 for at least.

Interesting idea but I dont like the idea of trackers unless they can somehow blend into the actual terrain. If i'm going to have dice and these things all over the battlefield (which ruins the whole 'illusion' imo) then i'd rather just use paper.

All you gotta do is take 2 pieces of plastic and glue them together. Then you just put the characters name and M W F on it. Piece of cake.

I prefer paper, I was just giving a example of how you can make your own if you want to bother with these.

Most people prefer paper, although a single D6 is good for how many wounds it has left.

On another note, 6 isn't nearly enough in the Will category for a Ringwraith.

What we use is a print out sheet for the heroes specific to the scenarios/warbands/whatever that we know we use and put their stats and all M, W and F with boxes to tick off on it. Then we laminate it and just use a whiteboard marker to tick off used points. That way we can reuse it easily and it saves lots of times and spare us a lot of confusion. Plus we have a nice reference sheet for each force.

Laminating a piece of paper should be easy. We are lucky enough to have a machine for it at our local club for making membership cards. However, any library, book- or copy shop might have one that you could use.

That laminating idea is pretty good.

I have a bunch of laminated cards, but I may have to get some of those as I'm a sucker for gaming gadgets and they're pretty cheap.

If you don't have a laminator then a credible alternative is card covered in the widest clear-plastic sticky tape. The wider parcel-tape style ought easily to cover a credit card-sized piece of card with a single, flat layer suitable for writing on and wiping off. Larger sheets with multiple characters and multi-Wound monsters, etc. will wither require a number of carefully-applied strips of sticky tape or pop the whole sheet inside a clear plastic wallet. Again, write-on/wipe-off is easy.

How about a small peg boards for scoring? Piece of wood, some holes, pegs ...
It could be decorated or plain. Different color pegs for each side.
It could be fun to fabricate something athestically pleasing and functioanl.
