I bought some finecast berserkers to try out (my first finecast models), and they are bendy little !@#!%'s.

Image

So, into the boiling water they go, put them in a big cereal bowl and put the kettle on.
Image

When the water's ready why not add a nice cuppa tea? I left the Uruks in for 3 minutes, which seemed plenty, they were good any fluid when they came out.
Image

And, voila, much less bendy.
Image

The above manipulations were done on Sunday the 15th of June. I plan to leave them out for a week and see if they stay nicely shaped or if they gradually revert back to their previous bendy shapes. It's a dead horse, but I'm not too impressed with finecast so far, I also have three metal berserkers who's swords are guaranteed to stay where I put them...

For the immediate future I'm going to need to bring my Rohirrim up to match the Uruk's numbers. I've got 6 Riders of Rohan on my painting table right now who should keep me busy for the next couple weeks. But yes, right now my Uruks don't have any heroes painted at all, which will need seeing to.

Once you bend the swords straight they should stay. Mine have. :) So far, for the past several months. :-D

Well, my focus has been slipping, I've finished up three new Riders which helps Rohan a bit but I've drifted into painting up some of my Elves & Dwarves.

Great painting, keep up the good work

a little advice concerning those bendy swords

i use a beading tool that looks like this
http://img.auctiva.com/imgdata/9/9/5/6/ ... 520_tp.jpg

get a hold of the whole sword with the pliers and pour the boiling water over it (and the pliers) for like 5 or 6 seconds. Then run it under cold water it should be very straight and not nearly as complicated.
