I won't get mine until Christmas time. Oh well, more time to chip away at the backlog.

Always wanted one, just spent next months pay and ordered one! worth ordering another item, ordered the Morngul as i do a bit of WHF as well, also the model would make a good Goul for the Dead Marshes!

It is £224 delivered or so I heard. If it was the other side of Xmas I would have treated myself.

I got a call yesterday that my set was in the store, but they can't give it to me till Saturday because that's when it's "released". Made me so sad, though in still not going to be able to open it till Christmas

But apparently there are no points values in the rule book that comes with the limited edition set. That was half the reason I bought it, so I wouldnt need the new 100$ rule book. But hell, now I've got to buy it. Uhh and my Christmas fund has been expended. :(x10

At least there was mention of high elf cav!:D

Wait so there are two books in Escape from Goblin Town.... much like the Mines of Moria. One is a rulebook and one is a scenario book, but neither have profiles? Am I correct?

The scenario booklet has all the profiles of the minis in the box, but none of the points.

Just to add insult to injury the mini rulebook does have the scenarios from the five codices for points matched games.

*Edit* NOT looking forward to the box set arriving since finding how incomplete the rules are and the paint guide is $25.99 (Aus) on the iBookstore!

All new paint guides use the new GW (Devlan Mud) paint style. I fear you may be very disappointed with it.

I'm stuck on a business trip and won't be home (to collect my preorder) until next week. Can anyone confirm for me the number of Goblin Town terrain sprues are in the Escape from Goblin Town boxed set. Also if anyone has purchased the Gobkin Town Scenery pack, I'm interested to know how many sprues are in each of those boxed sets too.

Thanks for satisfying my curiousity.

And the Goblin Town scenery set you buy separately contains a third and different sprue with more platforms, poles and a ladder. (you can check that on the GW site)

I'm very impressed with the Goblin Town scenery. Best of all, it looks easy to replicate more of it!

All in all I'm glad I bought the Escape from Goblin Town set. In person, the Goblins are a lot nicer (well, most of them. Some are still pretty weird) and will paint up well enough in a different, darker scheme.

So 2 sprues total in EfGT and 3 Sprues total in Goblin town pack? I've spent a long time looking at the sprue pictures for both EfGT and GT and they looked the same. However, in the painted pictures they show, I don't see how you could build the terrain they show with only one of each of the sprues they show pictures for. It seems you have to have two of each sprue to build what they show.

you get 2 of the sprue with the big platform on with two walkways.

In the goblin town you get an additional sprue with the ladder and higher platforms
