It runs like a rocket on my home computer (Firefox) and slow on my work computer (IE9), especially when there are lots of smilies showing. Regardless of the root cause, making the filesize of the graphics a little smaller is a good thing all round - it reduces the download size of each page refresh which affects both the end-user as well as the server.

A lot of the graphics are cached by the user's browser and the templates themselves are cached by the server, so it is pretty well optimised from a caching point of view. But the overall page size could be reduced significantly by some tweaking. A job for the weekend.

This is not exactly a design bug I found, but I couldn't find the topic with the article bugs.
Anyway, the link in this topic (viewtopic.php?f=33&t=7582) doesn't seem to work. It links to this article (http://one-ring.co.uk/kb.php?a=109) for which I apparently "don't have sufficient permission to read this article". This is in the Welcome forum so I guess it would be convenient for new-comers to read the article.

That's fine Koen, the article is actually being updated at the moment to suit the new site. It seemed silly to leave it active when it's so clearly out of date. It'll be back, don't worry.

I'm having trouble adding a poll to my WIP thread, I added three options to my poll, but then for some reason it added options from my previous poll, like this:

Image
The first picture is after I clicked the preview button, the second when I clicked publish. Deleting the options didn't make any difference, more just popped up.

To save me time trying to find the post you're talking about it would help if you gave me a link.

This has nothing to do with the new site - it used to happen on pro silver aswell. I used to pm Red Corsairs to set up my new polls.

So, you are trying to add a poll at the end of a thread that is 18 pages long? And you wonder why it doesn't really work properly. Why don't you just start a new thread?

And the poll topic is... "What should I paint next?" Really?
