Yeah...don't blame GW for this. That guy's from the film. But I think this is another case of the production image not doing justice to how it will appear on screen. I found another that indicates he's probably a Warg Rider captain and will be much darker in the film:

Sadly thats Fimbul and not Yazneg...

Rivendell Knights appeal to me - I have Galadhrim cavalry but always wanted something closer to a mounted version of the elves seen in the opening sequence of FotR. I am willing to suffer some financial pain for them...

Apparently Yazneg is Azog reincarnated (going by the rumours on one-ring.net). This would explain why he looks rather...odd.

I'm not sure Tolkien ever meant necromancer in this sense that PJ and others have interpreted it though...

I would argue that he did mean it in that manner, considering he was a linguist and Necromancer has very liguistical foundations. In fact, and I am going off a very foggy memory, but I believe in Complete Hisotry of Middle Earth Volume VI, it goes into some of his Necromancy. I will do some searching and see what comes up with.

I spotted this bloke in a larger picture of orc hunters on wargs. Thought it may have been Azog at first due to the lance looking thing in his hand. Maybe this is Yaznag.

I'm surprised how 'human' so many of these look when you compare them to the goblins from the Goblin Town set.

Anyone notice the new dwarfs in the lists at the back of the book? If you have the hardcover rulebook and you look in the back at the profiles......there are a couple of dwarve entries next to the iron guard and the khazad guard that I do not recognize.
I have not looked through all the lists just happened to notice those two.

Yep, might be the vault warden team.

Foe Spear and Iron Shield? I believe (though might be wrong) that those are the Vault Warden teams.

Also very good spit with the picture. Seems boggling that they'd have him in the book but not list his rules.

I'm almost positive that I remember seeing in the rulebook that

Strange this Yarzug fellow has no rules. maybe you are supposed to give him Azog's rules? (EDIT: beaten, I think)

I told the local GW about what was coming in February, and the oss guy was very happy with the dwarves, as he wants a huge Gimli/Gloin alliance with them.

if you want to know what the Azog will look like. look out for Crixus off Sparticus. Well, the voice for sure.

Did anyone else notice how Gimli is by far WAY better than his dad for roughly the same points?

I get why he's better than his pappy, but why is there only a 5 point difference? The fact that Gimli has better defence, might, will AND fate for only that much is just rather sad for Gloin.

Yazneg looks absolutely ridiculous. I'm on the fence about getting the (awesome looking) Fimbul for $50. If that abomination costs anywhere close to the same then I'd not even consider it.

Maybe it's the bright pink skin, or maybe it's the supposed "beards" that make up his collar. It could be the faces in his clothing. He's just not doing it for me.
