Hi all,
Thanks to Oz Hammer (http://ozhammer.webs.com/) and the competition they supplied the prize for (http://www.thelastalliance.com/viewtopic.php?f=27&t=5555) I am now the proud new owner of a Fell Beast! They very kindly allowed me to choose pretty much any model I wanted!

The Fell Beast will be able to join my Harad army (which I haven't finished yet), my goblins, my Angmar monsters, my brother's Harad army... so many different uses!

I'll be blogging progress with more detail over on the blog (http://simbattleboard.blogspot.com.au/2 ... beast.html) but won't bore you here with each and every step!

So far I've only assembled it. I made a few tiny changes, angled the head and the legs so that it's just a little more "pouncy" rather than straight flying, but other than that it's just as is.

Here it is from the side:

And from frontish:

As you can see, I've tried to give it just a little of an angle, the head is looking down and to the side and the Nazgul head is looking to the same side.

Anyway, will update next time something interesting happens with it (next up: liquid greenstuff gaps, black spraypaint... ooooooh, exciting).

One of the many benefits of hard plastic - safer and easier to convert, plus lighter to carry around. Looking forward to seeing this progress (I have some awaiting my attention so making slight variations would be a good thing).

Two more pics of (very slight) progress. Added an eagle for comparison.

More pictures on the blog, but here's the latest:

Some brown and green highlights on there now. I don't actually like it, but I'm hoping once the black washes go on it'll darken up nicely with just a hint of colour to make the top and bottom distinct (and to make the whole thing different from the colours on my board).

Yay! Thanks Oz Hammer again for the prize! (http://ozhammer.webs.com/)

Lots of photos sorry, as I know different people like different angles. Also, have to apologise again for the poor lighting!

And lastly, here's a range of monsters and stuff all lined up for size comparison:

That was quite fun to paint, not super difficult now that we have plenty of washes! Would not have liked to do it pre-wash era! (But that's probably just because I'm lazy!)

More stuff on the blog (http://simbattleboard.blogspot.com.au/2012/12/fell-beast-complete.html)

Really nice work!
My favourite are the veins in the wings and the lava base!
Also impressive army of monsters you got there :yay:

Sharp!

The shading on the wings looks great. Any chance of getting a better shot at the Nazgul?
