Thank you garmenhord 8)

Below are pics of the goblins with basecoats. I have progressed further, but I can only take pics in natural light.

I'm about to put up more pictures now, but I'll keep this one seperate.

There is one very important reason why I did not paint their skin green. I want all of the Goblin Town Goblins to match one another which means that the King needs to match. If I paint the King green he will look too much like a Cave Troll of which at least 2 will be allied into the same army. Sorry to dissaponit you, I know I've seen some very good painted goblins in green.

Here is another update. In these pics they are nearly finished. Again, I have progressed further and have completed them but photos in daylight only.

As you can see, to compensate for the lack of green skin, I painted the togas green instead. In the next update, you will see that I have alos painted the eyes green as well.

They look very good. The togas look very good too. After your explaination I also understand why you're painting them like this.

You seemed to have nailed the aesthetic of the Goblins. The colours seem perfect and the models have that slimy sweaty appearance like in the films. Loving it mate.

Thanks very much guys. :D

By the way samoht, looking the hunter Orcs on Fell Wargs in your thread helped me to decide what to do with the loose Fell Wargs I just got and the problem of the 1 leg on the ground.

Some 'finished' pics of the Goblins. The bases all to do of course.

Below is the basecoat on Gollum:

Unfortunately most of the pics are not very good as I was in a rush to take them before I went in to town to pick up some Fell Wargs.

Ah the pity, mine is still mostly black as I want it to look like a baby Balrog, I just found it eassier to paint the red and then black over the top, then painting red in the recesses. ALso, I drybrushed black over the red wings.

Here is finished Gollum:

Image

Image

And the Dweller, almost finished in the pic. I just finished him after but he doesn't look much diifferent so I didn't take another:

And I picture of the new releases I bought, plus some Birthday Goblins:

Image

Annoyingly 5 in 6 poses come with 1 leg touching the ground. The closed leg ones werre mended easily but the other required a variety of assorted rocks and mounds, one has a dead hunter orc. Below is the one that is most obvious:

Here have an Orc facsimile: :orc:

Thanks you very much guys, that Dweller was difficult, had to redo the face a couple of times I think.

Here are some shots of basecoated models. Decide to go all out and paint a lot of models in a single batch.

It all looks good apart from Bolg. His picture isnt the greatest. Cant really pick out the detail. I like the fell wargs though, look very good.

Looking great, especially the Dweller. Though some of you latest pictures are very shiny, is that the flash?

Thank you, the Fell Wargs are my favourite. Bolg's picture isn't good because the camera doesn't like taking pictures of indivudual models which I have just discovered, however Bolg is painted really badly anyway compared to the others, but I probably won't field him ever anyway, I just had to get him because of... see reply number 3.

The flash exempifies but due to massive interruptions, I forgot to shake up the Agrax Earth before using it a couple of times, but in reall life it os only noticeable on a few models, mostly the Hunter Orcs on Fell Wargs which are underpowered anyway.
