I think I'm going to buy Fimbul, and instantmold his Wargs head and transplant it, in duplicate onto my older Wargs, And greenstuff new tails. I never liked the hyena crossover from the OT.

There should be about three, and three hunter orc heads too if I recall correctly.

6 Hunter Orc heads more like, but 3 Warg heads. A lot of spare weapon arms too.

The loose Fell Warg and Hunter Orc on foot sprues have no spare pieces however.

I do think it is pretty scandalous of GW with the whole 'wargs with rider legs on' but it's no more than I've come to expect from them.

I was really looking forward to the High Elf Cavalry (like probably everyone else who plays this game) but then I realised I really don't have much that I could play them with. :( I have some High elves on foot but only about 10 and no mounted hero, only foot Gil-Galad and Elrond. They look so nice though that I might just buy them to put on display. :)

If you buy them, you might want to buy the Elrond that is coming out too. Just a single box of cavalry + Elrond on horse would make a pretty potent strike force, especially considering that Elrond has Nature's Wrath.

I need the High Elf cavalry to be able to be led by Glorfindel. :D

You're outta luck the then. Only elrond, lindir and knight captains can lead the Rivendell knights.

you can still ally in the other elf heroes. to be honest, I like it because it allows the knights to have their 100% bow limit. I am thinking of 'allying' in the twins mounted to lead my knights.

Yeah I'm aware. It's lame.
Cheap captain I guess and Glorfindel as a 1 man warband.

Yes, he was on the Feb releases before they took it down.

It is pretty logical to just include all the units from Elrond's household to the Eregion and Rivendell list.

But apparently they want to keep The Hobbit line separate as far as warbands go. I've had similar troubles; would Azog's Hunters be considered Mordor or Moria & Angmar?

Moria and Angmar definately. They weren't from Mordor, but rather Gundabad in the Misty Mountains north of Moria. They probably didn't even recognise Sauron as their overlord, with the absence of any Ringwraiths to rally them behind Sauron at the time.

At least, thats how I like to think of them. Independent Orcs, who consider themselves more loyal to Morgoth himself than Sauron (who as far as Middle Earth knew at that time, was destroyed long ago).

Apparently Bolg in the films
Click to: Show
will be the warden of Dol Guldur's dungeons.
No idea if this is still what they're going with, but that's what it says on his action figure packaging.

My main reason for asking was for the purpose of my vanity sig. I can't fit in any more factions, so the new stuff will have to be lumped in here. The Dwarves and Elves are easy, but the baddies less so.

I fail to see what the point in switching Bolg and Azogs roles was.

(correct me if I'm wrong)

In the book...Azog is killed in the battle of Azanulbizar by Dain Ironfoot. Decades later his son Bolg leads an army of Goblins and wolves to Erebor to take revenge where he is killed by Beorn.

In the film...Azog merely has his arm chopped off, is thought to have been killed but later makes a shock reappearence. Meanwhile, Bolg (if the rumour brought up by Lord Hurin is correct) seems to have been written out of the story completely; with his character altered into someone else.

What was wrong with the original story? I can understand if they changed around a few minor details, like having Thrain (Thorins father) or Thorin himself kill Azog at Moria, and later having a main character (Thorin again) kill Azog's son Bolg; but really, the finished storyline of H:UJ is just a convoluted mess.

I just don't see why its necessary to change the story so much. Not to mention the knock on effect on LOTR merchandise, with GW etc not being kept informed or not being given a chance to update their own ranges to reflect the changes in the Film.

It seems to me that PJ and co. made some huge last minute changes without thinking them through, and ended up with an awful mess of a film.

Well, parts of the movie are a mess, but overall it wouldn't say that harsh. Nevertheless I feel the same about the change.
