How's that 'the sensible thing'? Why would anyone buy sourcebooks if all the profiles are in 3 ridicioulously overpriced rulebooks? The 'sensible thing' would be to release one rulebook, then release sourcebooks with the remaining profiles upon release.

Seeing as they have rules in the current book that no models have access to, I think that this is the rulebook we'll be stuck with for a while. I could see them rebranding it, maybe adding new profiles, but no new rules.

For GW "the sensible thing" is squeezing every penny that they can out of us. Right now, I'd buy a TH:AUJSBG journey book for $35-40 rather than the $100 rule book, 90% of which I've already got.

Some people will buy both, especially if there are new scenarios for different scenes and some good hobby sections.

I would love to see the armoured Mirkwood elves because I really loved their armor however I'm not sure if I want to see Thranduil on that reindeer thing he was riding

The Elk. But that was the best thing abouut the Wood Elves. That is one model I would love to see almost as much as the Bunny Sled.

Thranduil is really Coldhands from ASOIAF. :-D

I don't see why people have a problem with the Elk, after all, they have dogs and other animals talking for heavens sake at Beorn's house.

They don't talk, Beorn just gives them orders and the do it.

Not into the Elk thing. Never mind the cheese, those horns would be a liability in the tangled growth of Mirkwood.

So,males of the Irish Elk had enormous antlers (not horns) which did make moving in the Forests of Britian and Ireland, but they still survived for a few thousand years at least as a species.

Ah, sorry. Still, they walked around serving food and stuff. And Huan could talk. And Mirkwood really wouldn't have that much undergrowth, the trees would block out most of the sun and would steal most of the nutrients. The only thing that the antlers would have trouble with would be the trees getting too close together, which wouldn't be that much of a problem. The only thing that would actually keep him from having an elk would be that elk's prefer lighter forests and plain IRL, but of course this IS Middle-Earth.

What I think will be released during the next 2 movies (hopefully)
Sorry if I have repeated too much :) :

The February releases, I'm sure everyone knows what they are by now.
Lindir
Azog
Radagast with Rabbit Sled
The Necromancer (I would prefer GW one if it's going to look like slenderman)
Bats (like the ones that chase Radagast from Dol Guldor)
Giant Spiders
Shades (like the one who attacked Radagast)
Mirkwood Elves (armoured and possibly unarmoured)
Mirkwood Command
Thranduil
Tauriel
Legolas
Thror
Thrain
Dain
Dwarven Boar Riders (as hinted by Billy Connely, actor of Dain)
Ironhill Dwarves
Men of Dale
Master of Laketown
Men of Laketown
Bard the Bowman
Beorn
Smaug
Gundabad Orcs (to represent the other orc and goblin holds as mentioned in the book)
New battle ready poses for the White Council (possibly to follow Gandalf and the white council driving the necromancer out of Dol Guldor)
A vingette with the Dwarves in Barrels (like the riddles in the dark set

Extras that are unlikely (to me) :
The Rivendell Guards (seen when Lindir greets Gandalf)
Beornings (In the book it said men who lived with Beorn could transform into bears)
Elk Cavalry for Mirkwood ( I would prefer Horses)
Maybe a new Witch King resurrected by the Necromancer.
Mirkwood Terrain (those colourful trees)
Dol Guldor Terrain (like the osgiliath ones)
Erebor Terrain (pillars or something)
The Arkenstone (odd, yes but it will probably be included with Thror)
The new Aragorn looking character for Rohan
Stone Giants (scale would make it impossible really)

Also did anyone notice in the Rulebook Bolg (the real movies picture, not the mini) was standing in front of what looked like Dol Guldor in the background, comparing to what the place looked like when Radagast was running away from it.

that was a certain witchking in twilight form. Could you not tell from the scream and the discussion between the white council?

As the Shaman says, that was a Twilighlt Ringwraith. Also, 'Hunter Orcs' are Gundabad Orcs, though we may see a stronger or weaker version at some point.

Also, scale wouldn't be a problem for Stone Giants, all large monsters are scaled down.

Also, there mnay end being a model of master of Lake Town and his servant Alfrid, and a model of Thranduil's Drunken Butler.

Haha well it's a long list and easy to forget things
Yeah I noticed that it was a twilight witch king especially with the morgul blade but I thought that a Necromancer wouldn't just summon one spirit but many. Anyways ones I think I missed:

Erebor Dwarves
Erebor Command

I hope they release more scene sets or vingettes they call them. I expect the Gundabad orcs to be weaker maybe as the hunters seem like Uruk hai with their strength so maybe a more mordor orc like force :)

Anyway this is all just speculation and I could be 100% wrong

Spoiler!

From what I've heard he's supposed to be the guardian of dol guldur.

Even though it's going to be an expensive $70 finecast deal, I'm really looking forward to the release of Azog. My fingers are crossed for March but I have a feeling it won't be released for a while yet due to the late changes of the film.
