One of your first? Wow then! Good job! The colours are well chosen. THe only thing to crticize is, taht the Mini looks very glossy.. is it the flash of your cam?
Maybe you cold try to improve the face a little bit. Use a wash and then repaint the highlights with flesh colour?
Also, dont forget Striders beard! And details like the patch on his right sleeve.
If you like to get some inspiration, have a look at my WIP: at the end of the first page you can see my strider. I really like the green you chose for his coat :)

Amazing work!! 8) :yay:

Your highlighting is very nice and smooth and overall its an very very very good first model!

I think some matte varnish and also a little basing would improve him nicely.
Great work though :yay: :yay:

I like everything about him, particularly the highlights and the choice of colours. What I dislike is the excessive glossiness of the model, and his face. I would add a flesh wash to the face and then highlight the projections in his face (nose, cheekbones etc).

I actually prefer him without a beard, the way you have painted him. :)

Overall it's a great attempt, I wish I could paint that good when I started.

Yes the cloak is dark, but I wanted it to look like in the film, and there he wear's an almost black leathercoat.
In person he's a bit lighter than on the photo, because I didnt have the best conditions that day. But thank you for your compliments :)

Also good luck and tons of fun with the diorama! Buldings are really fun to create! :)
