Depends how many points and if you have to pay to enter etc, as well as date and so on.

Also, I may only be here until late March, unless I find a new job.

We'll keep our fingers crossed you get to stay!

Can't remember how much it is to enter but certain you need 1000pts good and 1000pts evil.

That's a very high points amount and, IMO, too high to get much done in the time constraints of a tournament. gets bogged down, slow and dull for me at that point. Might give it a miss, tbh. Plus, I'd need a load more commanders for my evil.

1000pts is the new standard limit for most tournaments. And the games are usually timed somewhere between 1.5/ 2.5 hours.

So if this tournament is 6 games in total I'm guessing it'll be 3 a day...? Quite full days but should be an experience... probably a humbling one! But looking forward to it :D

Having time and turn limits aren't the problem, it's that at that points level, you should be playing War of the Ring because it's just too slow to enjoy, otherwise.

Nearly 50 models to move, not including magic, then your opponent does the same? Takes a long time. Then shooting with a 15-17, ne at a time, then your opponent does the same and then any combats... It takes too long to see anything happen.

Hope you guys enjoy it though, but I haven't the money and the points level is too high for me (even if I had enough heroes for that many points).

Gothmog - no more than usual ;) Hope to see you this weeka nd that things get less hectic for you.

Aye, unfortunately just not my way of playing, lol :D If it was 500pts each in a doubles, I'd be far more inclined, lol.

I'll train you as best I can, but not promising it'll give good results, lol ;)

Wahoo! Know if your lad is coming?

Gothmog?

What does everyone fancy... separate games or doubles?

I'd be quite keen on some doubles, since most of us are meeting for the first time. Should be fun! Reminds me, I NEED to get some dice so I don't have to borrow Hashut's haha

Sneaky!

But yeah, it'd be good to see some variety on the board. Rohan won't be complete for a while yet anyway, although might bring down a small force to see how they play, or even a warband.

Felt very limited with the Grey Company last week... small points game won't have helped but can see how it would be nice to have various options for different situations and scenarios and how they can run into difficulty, particularly when shooting is NOT going well.

Looking forward to trying other options and combinations in the future to see what works best for me.

I will bring several lists and let you choose they own doom (whether it be win, lose or draw, lol).

I'm good to game as doubles or singles, either way. If there's three of us, I'm happy to do two on one (2 x 250pts against 500pts) as well.
