You are right they do have funny hats they remind me of Mongol warriors.
Thror is really awesome.
I don't know about the dwarves the models are ok but the colours seem to me very dark and grim I think evil minis should have these colour combinations not the good ones

But I'm guessing the prices would be very disappointing.

It's funny (in a bad way) though because I found a white dvarf issue which was published at the time Fall of Necromancer's release and it featured the new releases with their prices. The 24 wood elves costed 15 pounds and that was back in 2006

What a shame these dwarves, was really having my hopes up for them. But they look more like Barbaric Militia, then Dwarf warriors from the richest Dwarf Realm in Middle earth, really dissapointing, so much for those armoured Dwarfs with spears & shields indeed.

Thror is frigging awesome though, probably gonna be my first finecast model!

Thror looks magnificent, GW did him justice and most importantly they nailed his beard!
Any news on the prices?

Thror looks magnificent though I'm surprised at the lack of Thrain since the model has already been seen online, I would've thought they'd be released together.

Would it be possible to see the text in these photos? Or at least a generalization?

Looks like Lindir's finecast sword broke off as his hand is empty. Can't believe they didn't glue it back on for the pic. Oh wait, yes I can.

Seriously though, Thror looks great as do the Men of Dale, the Warriors of Erebor are good enough that I will buy them eventually.

What bothers me the most is really Lindir...I mean look at his crown thingie-thats so plump and badly sculpted...Finecast was supposed to bring amazing detail and blabla, the first fellowship models have ten times better details than this!

Thror is awesome though!

I think that he's holding out his hand like "walk this way". I would get the Warriors of Dale if they were in a box of 12 and a leader for them was coming out with them.

At first I thought Lindir was just a bad version of Elrond when I read my white dwarf... until I saw the picture where he was standing next to Elrond. I do like the dale warriors and plastic dwarves, though. Thror is great as well.

Is that the main rules manual to the right of "Lindir" they are advertising? Great to know it's available, I had no idea. What is this game again, anyway?

Wow, another reason to run out and buy White Dwarf. I had forgotten what the EfGT looks like after all these months!

Anyway, these models look pretty good with the exception of Lindir. Do they give any hint as to the rules for Men of Dale? I wouldn't expect them to be much beyond the standard man profile, but do they have any interesting special rules?

Lindir looks horrible, like a bad Elrond. Nothing at all like Bret McKenzie. I'd like to hear him and Jemaine make a song about how insulting of a sculpt that is.
