No, we have Gundabad Goblins. I never really like that they were supposedly from Gundabad, they should have just been Moria Uruks (pretty much the big orcs that Boromir saw). What we need are pale Gundabad Orcs. More skill and movement, similar special rule. Something along those lines.

Gundabad goblins ARE Gundabad orcs. Azog is a goblin.

Gandalf: "Your grandfather Thrór was killed, you remember, in the Mines of Moria by Azog the Goblin."
Thorin: "Curse his name, yes!"

If you go with the whole Peter Jackson idea that snaga/goblins are visibly different from Orcs, I don't see why gundabad blackshields need to be the Gundabad Orcs that Azog was leading

That's according to the book. In game/film, orcs are very different from goblins. Goblins are small, terrible at fighting, move slowly and climb stuff really well. Orcs are bigger, decent at fighting, move normally. In the movie, there were quite a few white 6' tall orcs fighting alongside Azog. Those are the models/profiles that I want to see.

The SBG is a movie tie-in, not a book tie-in. There were Gundabad Orcs in the movie, so I think we can expect new Gundabad Orc miniatures.

Well, all we have right now are 4 Uruk-hai profiles with F4 S4/5, 2 of which are Mordor Uruk-hai and are metal/FC/expensive, so I would welcome a plastic/slightly cheaper set with similar stats, especially if they happen to look like the ones in the movie. We do have other S4 orcs, but they have the standard F3 and C2, so once they break, they're gone.

I feel like the gundabad orcs would just end up being Morannon-esque. Not overly amazing.

I'd like to see more Orc models simply because Mordor Orcs are boring and quite outdated compared to the current plastics.

Could we possibly see Elven Warriors and our old friend Thranduil mounted on an Elk as per the cutscene in the film? I mean, we had Warriors of Dale - that wasn't expected, and with rules in the box anything is possible. I for one have noted we still need Azog Ft & Mtd (yay White Warg!), Radagast Sleigh? and Thrain. But theres still the rest of the year to go before a new boxed set in November, I for one - am excited to see what they might delve into. Oh the thought of some lovely wood elves!

Woops, looks like I missed the obvious thing - Thorin's Company being released in dribs and drabs and new finecast poses, or maybe a seperate Thorin's Company box, thats a given though - anybody got any rumours (I know its quite far away) on what will be with April White Dwarf?

I'd love to see a Thorin's Company box (instead of separate releases), but I fear what the price will be. I'm pretty happy with the plastic characters from EfGT though.

Still holding out for the Azog two pack and if they release his heavy contingent bodyguards, all the better. The hunter orcs are nice models, but they look a little too quick and lithe for orcs.

Will we get Thorin's Company mounted on ponies? Not sure I'd buy them as they'd likely be a huge monetary investment, but if it's a plastic set then maybe it could work.

Having read the hardback rules for the fifth time (lol) I am now 100% certain we'll see Thorin's Company with ponies in the next 3-4 months, not sure if clampacks or all as one box set kind of thing though, I expect theres a lot of mileage out of the first film yet, don't dare them anything, they'll make it! While we're at it, why not another 2 poses for Radagast? Lol.

There will almost certainly be a special extended edition of The DVD released for Christmas, which may have a few surprises leading to miniature releases.

Based off of past releases (and i think an official announcement) we're going to get the EE release in November.

My predictions would be as follows.

Finecast Thorin's Company (Maybe another boxed set with Ponies)
Azog ft and Mounted on White Warg
Radagast on Buddy Sleigh.
Thranduil ft and Mounted on Stag?
Armoured Mirkwood Elves? (x12)
Thror's Kings Guard (With shield and spear x4 in pack)?
Gundabad Orcs (x12 or x18 like the Goblins but I doubt it)
Gundabad Captain or Command

I can not think of anything else from An Unexpected Journey. I was going to say Spiders but it is more likely that they will be released in the next film.

Their are two different fine cast (?) Bilbo's in the rule book on 114 and 124, neither of which are included in the "Riddles in the Dark" pack with Gollum.

I don't know if anyone had pointed this out yet, but since a fine cast thorins company is inevitable, ide like to point you guys to page 98 of the mini rulebook. It appears that there are two (slightly) different poses of Thorin and Dwalin. Oh and on page 84 Dwalin has two axes instead of a hammer...
