I thought I'd get in first (I know a few of you also subscribe to theonering.net and so will have already seen this)...

http://www.theonering.net/torwp/2013/04 ... terprises/

I guess most people will have mixed feelings about this. The Tolkien purist in me worries about LOTR becoming a global 'brand'. At the same time, I'd be lying if I didn't say I'd love to have a pint of Barliman's Best at a LOTR Theme Park!

Discuss.

[Edit - as pointed out below, this is an April Fools! Hangs his head in shame...]

This seems like good news.. right? It's good to know my soon to be born baby will get brought up on LOTR-Disney adaptations... I just might be able to get them into the hobby quite easily now afterall :D

Highlights being:

"The Lord of the Rings: Return to Middle-earth is targeted for release in 2016"

“We just know installments of ‘Bilbo Baggins Clubhouse’ will be a real winner with fans!”

And of course,

“Pixar is especially excited about combining the genius of JRR Tolkien and our animators. We’ve wanted to get our hands on Tom Bombadil’s yellow boots and bright blue jacket for ages,”

The day will come, that Christopher Tolkien rests in peace and his grand grand sons will need cash and sell the Silmarillion...

Seriously hope this will never come true... :o
