Well I think its better than the Riddles in the dark version, but £10 for one hobbit is way out of my price range.

I really do not like that sculpt at all.

I think that the model is technically well executed but, it leaves me somewhat cold. Why do they think we want to spend £30 on three Bilbo's all with the same equipment, particularly when there are still gaps in the range like Hunter Orc captains or creatures featuring in the film with no rules such as the great Gundabad Orcs and Rivendell Guards.

(There have been 4 Bilbo's released, 1 apparently with loaded with cider bottles and a wine skin {which could warrant a special rule or scenario} and one with a sting or walking stick option).

I think because he's the star of the film. They would have been better off releasing a few different Thorins in my opinion as Bilbo isn't really the sort of guy to wow you on the tabletop. Thorin with sword and axe would have been nice...

I actually like the model - its a nice action pose akin to the Helm's Deep Aragorn - but I honestly don't think its worth more than £4 (£6 adjusted for inflation etc).

I really wish that they would release an Erebor Dwarf Banner bearer and standard bearer! I was naturally expecting them to be released as a trio with the captain, or possible as modelling options with the plastic boxed set. I am slowly putting together an army of Thror, and they would be most useful!

If fine cast is the only option, its best that they are released separately as I would want a couple of the banners.

What's the difference between a standard and a banner bearer?

Absolutely none at all. Woops! I meant banner bearer and Horn Blower.

Both are easily enough to convert though from the existing dwarf range?

some of these look brilliant for LOTR, the Ent and Army of the Dead in particular.

Probably saving them up, I wouldnt be surprised if we don't see any hobbit releases until december now. Next month is supposedly Tyranids. Tbh, there isnt much left for them to release randomly. I'd rather they wait and release stuff I want to buy instead of multiple bilbos and gandalfs.

What I’d like to see as we’re still missing them is Thorin with Orcist and the Oakenshield and also Thorin without either (so just a normal dwarf sword without the Oakenshield).

So far we have 1 with just Orcist and 2 with a sword and the Oakenshield.

I reckon you might be out of luck buddy, as far as I can see the Finecast Thorin that'll probably be released when the new film comes out only has Orcrist (no oakenshield) and as he loses it at the end of AUJ I doubt we'll get a new sculpt with it. You could always glue a bit of cork bark to his back I suppose!

I agree with Southy, didn't surprise me in the slightest to see no new releases, I doubt there'll be anything next month either. Just gotta be patient now, in 2 months we'll get what I imagine will be the coolest SBG release in a very long time. Can. Not. Wait.

I’d want him without either to represent him in the early part of AUJ where he has a sword but not the Oakenshield (and before they find Orcrist). For example when fighting the trolls.

I wouldn’t be surprised if we see the Oakenshield again, after all isn’t it just a piece of wood really.
