I like the anatomy (the muscles) and the shape of the beast! However, I'm not a big fan of the fur which could have been finer! None the less real good sculpting!

That looks very cool! Good job mate! IMO it looks only not 'bulky' enough in comparison too the white warg from the film. Has this one been your first self sculpted miniature?
By the way, will you show some better pictures of Balin?

It may be that it is a bit small, I have no warg original and so I made with the measures that I have indicated, I do not know if I understand your question, but it is not my first sculpture (excuse my bad knowledge of the English language).

Balin is a commission, here are some more pictures.

That one looks really nice! The gradiants are really good! Just the face looks a bit strange but this is because of the sculpt. Maybe you could paint some wrinkles?
Yes, you understood my question right for the first sculpt it is awesome! What language do you speak?

I am Italian, my English is not good :(,( help me with some translator :) ).

Thank you for your appreciation, I recognize that it is not perfect but I'm not a sculptor professional and in this case the commission is for a tournament but especially for friends.

The cloak fabric is stunning - the shading of the folds and ripples is among the best I have seen. I am looking forward to seeing this one completed - the Royal Guard are among my favourite sculpts and onscreen characters in any of the Middle-earth films.

I've missed out on this thread until today and I must say that I am impressed! The Warrior of Minas Tirith is the highlight for me. It's very well painted, with good use of color, and the base looks great as well.

Excellent work!

Great work, how do you do the metallics, especially the gold?

gold is realized starting from snakebite leather (gw), lightening with a series of yellow, in this case the yellow paint set by Andrea color, lights end with white (Maimeri titanium white) and shadows with schorched brown (gw) and also black (color apa ferrario), eventually even a hint of liche purple.

Silver is mostly white, black and blue (GW enchanted blue).

The coat is made with green color paint set by Andrea.

almost complete.

Wow, it is a stunning piece painted to perfection. I truly hope you have an equally impressive base to add him too.

hmm maybe you should had made the sword in grey scale, this is not a warhammer model, and bluish represents kinda magic... would suit better with grey like the shield, but a bit lighter

Superb! NMM is such a tricky technique to master. He looks great! So you've got another 11 waiting in the sidelines, right? :D.
