Hi :)

it's been a while ago that I was the last time here in the forum. I think that was 2008. Unfortunately I had to take some time out due to job problems. now I'm back and have already started a new project. much it is unfortunately not yet. but I hope you like it

Wow, you call that "not much"? That's some great looking terrain. What are you planning to add to it? :)

The designs on the columns are marvelous. Keep us updated with pictures if its possible. I am curious as to how will it turn out.

Looks brilliant. Would love to make some sort of centerpiece in this style to fight over in a king of the hill game.

What do you mean? I think basic unpainted foam pink is THE perfect colour for a Dwarven city!

first thank you very much for all the wonderful reply from you
it motivates me to continue to work fast.
Of course, the plate does not remain pink. there is still some light blue and purple to come!

I want to paint everything in the same manner as my old columns. here also the link to the article I wrote many years ago for the-one-ring:

my_old_article

it goes on:

a first success! the two great pillars of the "main staircase" are finished

also the "Staircase" has received the first almost finished column. the other three will follow tomorrow.

otherwise it hgibt not much new. the ground to the higher level takes shape.

Stupendous.... absolutely stupendous. That is precision modelling on a very grand scale, worthy of Durin's folk indeed. Oh, welcome back!

It goes on!

The " staircase " is finished and standing all four pillars. now they are ready to bear the incredible rock masses of the Misty Mountains .

And after these first two sections are done I have to again sit down and think about how it should go on my way. what do you think of a kind of "dragon pit". I have an old model of a dragon skeleton found. a few columns around it and rusty old chains would be a good training ground for aspiring dragon slayer? I am also grateful for any suggestion.

A Dragon pit would certainly look very nice! The chains would have to be hue though. Also, I don't think a Dragon ever went to Moria (but then again, this might not be a problem for you). Either way, it would look great. :)
How about the Balrog's lair though? When the Dwarves delved too deep, they found the Balrog, and he seems to have been enclosed. That might be cool to make, but would surely be somewhere far down in the mines (perhaps much lower than what you have in mind for the area you're making now). Otherwise, a Throne room or a Tomb room would be very characterful.
