I just picked up a sprue of Goblins from GW and was intrigued to find them without spears or bows. I don't own the newest rulebook and the nearest GW is miles away (and closed 2 days a week), so can someone tell me if their profile includes spears and bow in their wargear in the AUJ edition?

I'll watch it again tonight, but I was pretty sure there were bow-armed goblins in the movie.

Thanks

Hey, Alan.

The only wargear option that the Goblin Town Goblins have is a two-handed axe. They do not have the option to purchase bows or spears, however, they have a special rule that allows them to support one another. In essence, they are all armed with spears.

I just started painting mine and they are a real treat. I can't wait to see what yours look like!

Hope that helps.

Shown with bows in the movie, yes, but indeed not allowed to take those in the game.

AUJ profiles are downloadable (legally) for free by the way: http://www.games-workshop.com/gws/conte ... =29900002a
(goblins are on p25)

Thanks lads, that's a big help. Especially thanks for the link to the profiles, Coenus.

They are wonderful sculpts, great to paint and really quick too. I'm not actually planning to use them for the SBG, but for D&D instead. So I've based them on 30mm Dark Ages bases (although, ideally, they're supposed to be on 25mm bases for that game too).

They are huge compared to the Moria Goblins though - which is weird. Scale creep I guess.

They have a special rule "Chittering Horde" that means they can support each other as if they had spears!

Please find full rules and points at G.W. :

Yeah their rule is super powerful! If you pay 48 points you have a warband of them with all spears as long as they support each other!
