[P] FEB Painting Challenge : WARBANDS

My entry will be 12 Grey Company representing Rangers of The North.

Hello,

I am painting a Harad army for a project running on HdR-Tabletop. This month I have to finish a Harad warband and have shown a WiP picture about a week ago here. Two days ago I started painting the heads and today the red clothing of 5 of the Haradrim. Is this a problem for entering in this competition? And if not, shall I take another picture of them as they are now? I would be happy about a fast reply, as I want to go in painting... Thanks!

Edit: On thing I forgot to say about the WiP Pics in HdR Tabletop: The captain and the partly painted swordsman will be repainted, the painted bowman was a colour test.

Wow, I really like these minis... very nice set.

I have potentially very silly warband of four heroes: Bilbo, Thorin, Balin and Dwalin in barrels. Wouldn't want to face any other army with them…

That is great, thanks a lot!

Just went right away to take the proof pic, so here are two:

On the upper right corner is the test model, (doesn't count) the middle row are the started bowmen (skin and red clothing painted) and the swordsman in the bottom will be repainted. I hope it's OK so!?

Thank you, their mostly my little brother's miniatures, but as he never paints I'll do it so that I wont have to play against grey and black miniatures all the time... :rofl:

P.S.: I just read a warband is a hero and 8 foot models, do I have too much?

8 foot models maximum. nothing to stop you painting whats in your proof pic and putting the 8 you like the best in the challenge for voting.

So I've been informed that my entry is illegal so I've decided to change it to:

Tauriel Captain of the Guard + 8 Palace Guard Spearmen

Minus one Palace Guard so Tauriel + 7 Palace Guard.

Haha I guess the benefit of the Australian GW site is that we get minis taken down a while after the other countries, kind of like a warning to buy before they're gone

Times-a-tick'n.... it's already Feb 6th! AND... it's a short month! Yikes!

I'm starting with my heroes, assuming they will be taking the longest time for me... then six foot soldiers... gotta put more time in...

Here's my entry. Haldir and 7 Lorien spearmen. Gotta finish my swordsman before I start these guys, but I hope I can get these guys done anyway. I'm looking forward to this months challenge, some great entries already :-)

Gonna use this challenge to hopefully help me get back into the hobby (after forever) and practice my painting! So 8 hobbit archers led by Merry! Lets hope i get it done.

My entry is a pile of prestidigitators, the Istari: Gandalf the White, Saruman foot and mounted, Radagast foot and mounted, Allatar and Pallando the Blues Brothers (They're on a mission from God, errr Eru.)

We'll see if I can manage to finish two painting challenges in a row!

Here's my proof pic. I have 11 models there, since that's all of my Mordor Uruks, I'm going to paint the lot of them at once and only submit 8 of them for final judging. This way though, I have a chance of actually finishing them all...

Took a second pic when I realised how uselessly dark the first one was.
