Thought I'd post mine up. Haven't had experience with a few of them yet due to them only just coming out this month but I will be getting them soon!
In no particular order:

- Isildur on foot. I just love how this guy looks. His armor is fantastic and gives a very royal appearance whilst still being practical.
- Gandalf in Cart. Not sure on this one. It just feels so right. That scene in the film is the first look we get at him and its damn memorable. A wizard is never late Frodo Baggins.
- Boromir with Horn. The detail on his face is a true likeness to the fantastic actor Sean Bean. That, and it just makes you think of his heroic last stand.
- Armored Glorfindel. I just simply think it's a fantastic sculpt with very crisp detail.
- Tauriel. This mini is breathtaking, the detail on it is first class and it really does show how far the production of wargaming figures has come.
- Mirkwood Rangers. Pretty much for the exact same reason above. Superb detail.
- Gimli on Dead Uruk-Hai. He's smoking a pipe whilst sat on a 6ft Dead Uruk. If this doesn't make you instantly like a figure, I have no clue what will.
- All of the Dwarves from EfGT. I couldn't choose just one, the details on them are amazing, and they all look exactly like they do in the film, and in plastic no less. They are just fantastic.
- Tom Bombadil. I have no clue on this. It's just awesome. The huge feather on his hat, and the grin he has. Its superb!
- Bill the Pony Poor old Bill, I feel like he didn't get enough screen time. The mini is a beautiful sculpt and it just holds a place in my heart.

It was really hard to pick a top ten as there are just too many damn good figures out there in the LOTR and Hobbit ranges of figures.

Which mounted Gothmog, the current one or the old one? I'm curious.

A bit late lol but i'd probably say the current one just because I think that the warg looks so cool and it reminds me of the scene In the film where he's casually trotting through the orc ranks lol

There is hundreds of nice miniatures with great sculpt, that recreate moments from book and movie and i would chose at least 200 of them.

Gandalf (Minas Tirith)
Aragorn (Helms Deep) chargeing with Haldirians!!! most thrilling momont in TTT
Clansmen of Lamedon
Knight of Umbar (old numenorian)
Gollum on rock (yes, he will jump for a moment)
Witch king on Fell beast
Gandalf on cart (lets start the saga)
Frodo & Sam in Orc armour (orc kids:)
Theoden Pellenor (blessing the troops) another thrilling moment RoTK
Denethor/Cirdan (for their static pose)

and more ...more...more...more...more...more...more...more...more...more...
Bilbo with ring, Mahud riders, Bolg, Rohan Royal Guard ahh to many of them.

I think it is far more easier to point the models i don't like:)

Oh, wow... As most have said there must be more than ten... Stream of conscious INPO...

Fellowship Gandalf the Grey
Gandalf on the Cart
Elrond on horseback (Hobbit)
Mordor Uruk-Hai
The Tainted on foot
Eomer, Marshal of the Riddermark
Elladan and Elrohir (the unarmored version)
Buhrdur
Barrow Wights
Goblin Warriors of Goblintown (Hobbit)

Ack! Ten already?

It was hard to do I had a top 20 and had to trim it down.

1- Aragorn (Heroes of Helms Deep) - Just an awesome pose, great moment in the film captured perfectly.

2- Thror - Amazing detail and perfect likeness.

3- Erkenbrand (Ft and Mtd) - Dynamic poses, shield is a real eye catcher. Just looks a centrepiece.

4- Haldir's Elves (Two Towers, Metal) - My favourite troop miniatures in the hobbit/lotr range. Look so great and really enjoyable to paint.

5- Mordor Troll Chieftain - Big troll fan (I have 7!) the armor on the chieftain really makes him stand out.

6- Aragorn (the three hunters blister) This captures Strider, great action pose and with the hood on looks like he is stalking a deer or fouler things in the wilds.

7- Azog (Mounted) - Stunning sculpt of the most terrifying orc in Peter Jacksons middle earth, looks straight out of an AUJ scene where he is running down the dwarves.

8- Sauron (FOTR prologue) - Love the armor and the tattered robes, they really captured his menace and great pose reaching for Isildur.

9- Faramir (Captured by Gondor) - I'm a big fan of all middle earth rangers and Faramir is also one of my favourite characters. Love the sculpt and pose it looks like he's leading his rangers into combat.

10- Tauriel - A bit of a hassle to put together with so many parts but the detail is exceptional and unpainted has a great likeness to Evangeline Lilly. I like how she hold her arrows with her bow too.

No it doesn't. it has a great likeness to Gemma Whelan who plays Yara Greyjoy in GoT. Does not look like Evangeline at all.

Agree to disagree, I had doubts when I saw the painted version but when I put it together her profile looks just like Evangeline Lilly. And this is coming from someone who's watched the whole series of lost 3 times haha
