With Fantasy Dwarfs taking up the first three weeks of the month under this new weekly release schedule, does anyone think it possible that there'll be a Hobbit focused WD Weekly in the fourth week?

There's surely more than just Gundabad Orcs & Bear Beorn to release and maybe we could hope for some hobby stuff?

Perhaps it will just be a 40k focused issue with the Knights and wotnot but we can live in hope right?

Honestly, I hate to be pessimistic, but we are lucky to get just pictures of new releases, let alone full articles of the Hobbit.

I don't see it being "Hobbit focused". If we're fortunate we'll see some new releases but you wont see a Hobbit focused magazine in all likelihood

Greetings, and welcome to the One Ring!

If I were the editor, I would do one weekly for each of the game systems with extra coverage on the 4th week for whichever system was having a big release that month. Unfortunately, that is too logical for it to actually happen. Oh well, here's hoping we get a Hobbit/LotR rag every now and then!

Get your rags here... :)
And from rags to riches!
I need to get some sleep. I abandoned all hope for any sort of WD years ago and spend the money on minis instead. I find it more fulfilling that hoping for coverage of Middle-earth.

At least the GW site already has a '1 click collection' for all new dwarven kits. So the last WD of the month will probably not have more Warhammer Fantasy dwarves. Let's hope for some Hobbit content in the upcoming WD.

I kept my fingers crossed and I'm still hoping for a lotr week, but there are pics online of the new knights for 40k... It doesn't seem that they will make the hoped fantasy-40k-lotr-forgeworld/black library division

Unreleased stuff from the movies (besides new orcs and Beorn):

- new Bolg
- Girion
- Azog with both hands
- Dale/Laketown ballista
- Witch-King twilight form
- Thranduil with the elk
- Thranduil's warriors type 3 ( ):

Also the "grimhammers" with shield and spear at the start of AUJ and maybe more importantly, Smaug!

What do I think?

They should call white dwarf Warhammer weekly.

The leaked pics of WD are all over the usual forums. There's a heavy 40K focus with new Imperial Knights being released alongside their rules. Of course this doesn't preclude the simultaneous release of some Hobbit stuff but it's certainly not a Hobbit themed issue. The release list should be leaked online sometime tomorrow evening and we'll know for sure then.

I think the important thing from the upcoming WD is that it includes new profiles for the knights. Looks like WD is going back to it's old self in terms of hobby stuff.

IMO We will not get many releases for DOS, I think they are going to spread them out other a longer period of time now WD has gone weekly.

Saturday's pre-orders are up - No Hobbit stuff again. That means it's been 4 WD weeklies without any Hobbit stuff :-( Assuming there's something in the next issue it will go on sale 9 weeks after all the Laketown stuff was released, not a great release rate, especially when we know there are models (Gundabads, Bard, Beorn) waiting to come out.

*sighs*

Ah well, the wait goes on.

This is both a good and a bad thing...more time for my finances to recover but no hobbit releases always saddens me :(

Agreed, to be honest this just continues to make Mantic my new favorite company lol. Even if the Hobbit remains my favorite game
