Today heralds the completion of the Dweller, a great miniature to paint if somewhat challenging because of the internal fire effect. Anyway first up are some of the later WIP pictures:

And now for the completed Dweller in the Dark:

Comments and criticism welcome as always

I never liked this model for LOTR but I love your paint job for it.

Good idea to chose that hand option on the Dweller, i chose the other and now the weight keeps making the resin bend and he falls forward, will have to get around to pinning it one day.

Thanks guys

@Harfoot That was exactly what I thought would happen, those ankles are mighty thin especially when his weight is all forward of them.

Ah yes, a Dweller in the Dark, one of the foul things deep from within the earth... He looks very, very good!

Really like what you've done with him. I'm finding myself falling more and more in love with these models, in sculpt, rules and concept.

I know I should have got some pictures but I fielded a force which consisted of just Gothmog and the Dweller last weekend and though I lost (the Dweller was swamped and killed - it did take a few turns though - reducing my force to 50% and so ending the game) Gothmog did kill Boromir with some gusto.

Well it's been a while since I posted in this thread (busying myself with Batman and Doctor Who miniatures) however as soon as these arrived they took priority, the Fallen Dwarf leaders and dragon fire teams.
You all know my thoughts on these miniatures, wonderful sculpts that fit right in with the PJ aesthetic for LOTR but they'll also be featuring in games of 7th Voyage as well (a skirmish game based around the Harryhausen stop motion films - in fact my Haradrim force will mainly be for that game as they fit in so well.)

Anyway on to some pictures, I've just assembled the minis and I have since done the basing. Thursday's looking good for spraying so I'll base coat them then ready for me to really get stuck in at the weekend.

Interesting that these are metal when the previous wave were resin.

These will be available directly from MOTN (if I'm correct) and so in metal unlike Anvil who only use resin. To be honest the detailing on them is very crisp so I'm not sure producing them in resin would have gotten much more out of the sculpts in terms of detailing.

Looks cool, can't wait to see how they complement the rest of the army!

I'm still slogging away painting my troops, glad you're a champion for the range!
