Haldir assembles a new team of Lawsgul composed of Merry, Pippin, Grima's ghost, Celeborn, a representative of Mandos, the Balrog, Gimli's mother, and a clone of Yazneg. He legally changes his own name to H'aldir allowing him to sidestep Azog's copyright before taking a lawsuit from Dain Ironfoot as to why Azog didn't fight him in the new film; Azog is forced to fight Dain in a re-enactment and gets his other arm lopped off. Haldir becomes very rich as a result.

Azog contacts his contacts at Mount Gundabad and they inform him that Celeborn had meant to fire Haldir but Haldir had put pressure on him to allow him to keep the position. Azog bribes Celeborn into firing Haldir from his position handing over his position to his poor forgotten brother, Rumil. Azog's position however is very secure, and his own heir is equally Evil.
