For those who have been trying to hunt down one of those illusive, sweet looking OOP Halbarad's with the horn and banner there is one up for auction on eBay.

Not really a good idea to point it out, maybe some people were hoping it stayed quiet and got it for a great price... :(

Yep I have to say i do agree with this in nearly all cases of posting ebay auctions on the forum. I've lost count of the number of times I have been sneaking in under the radar on an ebay auction and then all of a sudden the auction gets One Ringed and the price goes through the roof.

Of course it all changes when my own auctions get One Ringed - fantastic work keep it up guys. As it Daves auction here i will say the Halbarad model is quite rare these days easily worth £1.4 million - get bidding guys
(Dave if it goes for 1.4 million i want at least half)

I'm currently getting one from another friend but if the deal doesn't work out... Needless to say I won't be letting this one get away (if you think you're maximum bid is big enough, think again  )

People involved in this community have been preaching about eBay to new users for quite some time now. Forum post or no forum post, I don't think it ever had a chance of staying quiet.

Everyone in SBG knows about eBay lol.

Besides, we are supposed to enlighten each other about these things! One Ringers are supportive, caring people...

*gets ready to bid last minute*

Yes but some people take the time to search for these auctions every day because its what they want for their collection and a lot of models can go under the radar but as they are putting in the effort, its fair that they should be able to find these.

Anyway, I think we should not be posting auctions on here at all, firstly so as we all remain impartial and can put our own auctions up without bias, secondly because this is not an auction site and because we already have a trade section that works well and thirdly because its not really fair practice, even though it seems like it is by letting everyone know about it.

If I get it from my friend then I won't compete, but if I don't. Are you prepared to sell a kidney? :P

Damn, I'd sell any super rare figure in my collection for $500. Including Mr Halbarad which I picked up last year.

I agree that we don't need to be posting links to eBay auctions all the time. There is nothing wrong with pointing someone to an auction if they have requested help, but we don't need to take up forum bandwidth for something that people can easily search themselves.
