Hey guys,
I am just wondering what the detail levels are like for models that were metal and now are finecast - are they the same sculpt or do you get more out of finecast? Traditionally the safe bet in terms of quality and durability has been metal, so I would like to know if there is anything else I am not aware of in metal or finecasts favour. If anyone has both metal and finecast versions, it would be HUGELY helpful if you could post some comparison pics.
The main example I am interested in are the Three Hunters. Gandalf on cart and the balrog might be some other models to compare. I only have a metal fell beast, but I think the new ones have more detail but these are plastic, not finecast.
Finecast is a bit harder to strip as I understand, so for me this is a fairly solid reason to stay metal.

I can see absolutely no difference in detail on finecast models that were originally metal. Newly sculpted releases are very highly detailed though, though somewhat brittle.
