Hey guys I need a little advice, I havent been painting minis very long and so have been scrambling to collect models. I really really want Bullrooarer Took Ft and MT there is one on Ebay but priced £79.99, is this the going rate? Or is this vastly overpriced? Should I hold out? I suppose in the end it is down to how much a collector is willing to pay

Also an Arathorn model I saw was going for £40 is this also the going rate?

Thanks in advance guys.

Personally, my opinion is over £20 for a single model is overpriced. But, they are both OOP, it all depends on just how much you want/need them. Do you want them for collecting or for gaming purposes? Because if it's for gaming, you can easily convert an Aragorn to become Arathorn, and a Shirriff/Militia/Fellowship Hobbit to become the Bullroarer.

(Don't mistake this for an offer to sell you one, I don't own either model. I'm just curious.)

That is incredibly overpriced. I have to agree with Goldman25. Anything over £20 for a single model is too much. If you wait you will find either for £15.

It's too much. People are being incredibly greedy lately trying to catch on to people being worried about things going OOP. With the website up and running, it is clear that the range will be carrying on for the time being, so just wait for one to come up, they are not the most common, but still common enough.

Arathorn you should be able to get for his RRP, Bullroarer will be a little bit more, about 35AUD (roughly 17 pounds?), give or take a bit depending on who else bids.

You get a lot of traders putting up those sorts of prices hoping for them to be sniped off. Don't fall for it. Keep searching for one from a regular seller and don't be afraid to buy painted and strip! Many unboxed metal models have been by the seller anyway...

Loads of ridiculous prices for OOP models on ebay these days, but be patient and you'll often find them for a lot less.

Got a Bullroarer ft/mtd and 40 Hobbit Militia/Shirrifs/Archers (combination of all, not 40 of each!) a while back for a good deal less than that price...

Ok Ill just play the waiting game, I had a feeling it was vastly over priced. I am hoping a new bull roarer may be released under the hobbit range as his and golfimbuls story is told in the film

I'm afraid all the while people are buying them at these prices, people will continue to sell them at these prices. If stuff doesn't sell, then the price usually drops.

The waiting game finally paid off and I am glad to announce I have now acquired Bullroarer Took Foot & Mounted. I had to resort to looking at international sellers and luckily one was being sold by a guy in the US. Thanks to the conversion rate I was able to see off all the US bidders. It cost me $47 which converted to £s is £28. The only downside is that is is expertly painted, so I dont get to paint him myself. Now I just need the Scouring the Shire boxset and I will have acquired the minis I most desired.
