I procrastinated far too long and missed my chance to own the seerer of arnor. I own many reaper minis, but they are about a head taller than gw lotr minis. Does anyone have suggestions for a good malbeth proxy?

Sharkey, or an old Radagast (the one holding a bird) with the bird removed. Ironically, they're the same proxies I'd use for the blue wizards.

I have converted them into those.

As for a proxy for the seer I'd say a slightly modified Gandalf the white would work.
Just be sure to remove one foot lol

I had a Malbeth miniature only a few months ago, painted up as Palando the Blue. He's a fine miniature but as others have already said, Sharkey and the old version of Radagast are worthy alternates. Personally, I'd choose the Radagast miniature because more of his face is visible, and there's more to him than the fairly basic Sharkey sculpt.

One of the Kings of Men perhaps?

Image

One of the two centre models maybe.

Remove the sword,

Insert a length of copper/steel wire to represent the staff(I have a number of 6" wire spears/pikes from Gripping Beast - after I cut off the ends with the spear head, I keep the offcuts for model pinning and conversions like banners etc).

And remove the crown somehow. Maybe file it away, then sculpt hair.

I believe GW still sells 3/4 of these Kings in Finecast.

You could try Mithril Miniatures' Malbeth:

Or, if you wanted Perry, maybe a priest/cardinal out of these:

Yes exactly. That is great. I'd do a head swap but yeah, that looks great!
