What sort of paints, textures and foliage do you use to create bases? I'm looking to improve on mine a little, especially for dark mud/forest bases and barren mordor like land. Some of you get super-reslistic results, I'm curious to the different methods and products.

I cannot give you detailed instructions because I am not sure if what I know will magically work. But one thing I found really useful when I learned is that ove mud bases use unmixed deluted bleached bone. It gives superb results.

My brother also uses tea leaves and coffee grounds. Saw dust and sand also works well.
