Afternoon all.

I've been watching ROTK on a projector all afternoon and it was fantastic...just like the cinema!

Anyway...

Has anyone got any examples of converting citadel guards and/or beregond onto a horse?

Pictures & advice would be appreciated.

How about this:

Not mine (unfortunately) and I'm afraid I have no recollection of where I found this picture.
I hope it helps!

I might go drag mine out later but they are truly easy conversions.
I used the metal Minas Tirith Knights and simply green stuffed on capes. The metal knights lance's do not come with mini banners so already look enough like Spears and when I green stuffed on the cape I placed under them half of a bow so that enough of the bow is seen for them to be 'equip' with it (2 halfs per bow means each bow can do 2 Citadel Guards).

The picture above is the amped up version with a quiver and the sculpted extra Citadel Guard Skirt thing and head swap.

a bit of topic, but does the equiped spear mean they can support other cavalry ? in that case they are quite good support cav with bows and spear... :-D

Yes a spear certainly does. Running a front line of Minas Tirith Knights with Lances and shields backed up by the F4 Citadel Guards with spears works quite well, especially when you've already killed a few with their Long Bows.

I made 4 Mounted CG with long bows years ago. Top half of the rider is from a WoMT with bow, bottom half is from a plastic Knight of Minas Tirith. A cloak was sculpted with green stuff (but I'm not really glad with that anymore).

Good luck with the conversion!
