Awesome sculpting, as always, Dave! Does this mean you've given up hope that GW will release their own, or did you just feel like doing your own?

GW would be daft not to release the amored Thranduil on Elk as he is promoted on many of the Battle of the Five Armies posters. However I quite liked the prologue scene with him without armor gazing down upon an under siege Erebor, Electing not to get involved and leaving the dwarves to their fate. Classic image that, which is what I was going for.

I can see that. It was a cool scene. It said a lot about the character, and I think you've pulled it off very well!

Dave your work never stops boggling my mind and emptying my wallet. Yet another great piece to come from Shadow and Flame.

Wow thats a superb conversion! I really want one! I'm surprised GW havent released one yet, but im even more surpirsed they didn't give his profile even the option of a mount. Considering the first time we see this guy hes a badass on an elk theres no reason why the version in the Desolation sourcebook didn't have the option! Silly GW!

Great work again!

I think I will try to make one.
If that's okay I steal this idea.

No problem Kane. You don't need my permission. Glad to provide you with some inspiration. I have to get this painted up for my local GW on the 13th for the conversion compy ( which I have no doubt will be won by a 40k entry)
I haven't even primed it yet so best get a wriggle on!

Marvellous conversion and sculpting work!
I assume James Bond's arch-enemies SPECTRE will be applying the paint? :)

No actually I'm going to have a crack at this one myself, although DMS will get his own one no doubt at some point.

Been a while since I made any comments on a wip thread. The conversion is awesome, I know Thrandy isn't in a fighting pose, but there still is a presence with his posture, almost snobby. Well painted too.

Sell him now before GW produces one so you can cash in. $$$ :D
