I already have enough Goblin Town goblins and orcs to make mercenaries with some glued on armor.
Same with the trolls....because people make some awesome conversions. Im sure we'll see some in the coming months that look awesome.
I keep hearing this, but what some people don't seem to notice is quite how different from existing Trolls some of the new Troll variants are.
Whilst the "normal" Attack Trolls (including the one with peg legs, the one with scythes for hands and the one with chains/flails for hands) may follow the same basic body size/type of the Mordor/Isengard Trolls and of the Hobbit Trolls, and the Cave Troll with battering ram is well a Cave Troll, but the other types are radically different. (I myself will be making a couple of the Attack Trolls just in case, and some Goblin Mercs)
The smaller, white stunted Trolls are not only a different size (closer to that of Cave Trolls), but they are also a different body shape. I suppose you could get a Cave Troll and replace it's head with Bill, Bert or Tom's (and possibly deform one of the arms) but it still wouldn't look close to the shape & proportions of the ones in the films.
Similarly, the Catapult Trolls are much much larger than other Trolls, and whilst they do follow the same shape, they are more upright and need to be big enough to allow a decent sized catapult and at least 3 goblins on its back comfortably. So essentially both this and the stinted trolls would need to be scratch-sculpted and that just isn't an option for a lot of people, myself included.
