What to do with Hobbit Legolas?

Ok, so I was in a nearby comic shop tonight after work and they haven't carried any LoTR stuff for ages. I noticed they had the new BoFA Legolas foot and mounted. I passed by it as I hadn't intended to buy him anyway. Then I realized he was $10 below RRP and I caved and got him.

I'm not sure if I should use him as the new profile or just as a regular mounted Leggy though. I'm not sure whether I should snip off Orcrist, and if I do what weapon would look the part on him?

I'm going to remove the bow from his back and put one in his hand

The old Legolas doesn't benefit hugely from having a horse, it negated the bonus of his near-ubiquitous elven cloak and he is a support hero better suited to sniping from the back.

The new Leggy on the other hand is an absolute combat beast who is far better when mounted and can't take the elven cloak. If You've managed to get the new model at a discount then I say use him as the new model.

Could you not manage both? Maybe snip off Orcrist and replace with a white knife and then keep Orcrist separate and add a hilt so you can add it to his back when you want to use the new profile?

I personally hate to damage new models, but do what you wish. His profile has orcist in it, and if you wanna use the old stat line, just tell your opponent he doesnt have ocrist. Many game depending on the army, it wont matter anyway.....

Good for you btw getting him at that price! I may cave and buy him for a price like that as well, as if Id ever find that haha

Yeah, I say just run the model as it is; so long as it's clear on your army list which profile you are using, it shouldn't be an issue. But I have to say the new Legolas statline is pretty awesome!

I'd run him as the new one. It shouldn't be too hard to pick up the old model for when you want to run that profile.

Legolas mounted? You're joking right? The original mounted model is very rare

on foot James, as said earlier mounted doesn't suit this charatcters game play.

I have almost a warband of him on foot and i wasn't even trying.
